Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 confirmed in Gear 2 compatibility list

Samsung has managed to confirm the existence of three upcoming tablets without actually unveiling any of them. We’re talking about the Galaxy Tab 4 line, which will consist of three members: a 7-incher, an 8-incher, and a 10.1-incher.

These will be the newest offerings from what is now Samsung’s low-end family of tablets, complementing the high-end Tab Pro series. The new devices will obviously serve as successors to the ones in the Galaxy Tab 3 line, with the exception of the newly announced Tab 3 Lite, which will confusingly still be sold alongside the Galaxy Tab 4s.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 listing

On the official website of the Gear Fit fitness tracker slash armband, Samsung has some small print that talks about which of its devices the Gear Fit is compatible with. And in that list we can clearly see the Galaxy Tab 4 tablets listed. We don’t really know anything about these products just yet, since they’re only mentioned in small print, but we can expect them to be a little more mid-range than the high-end Galaxy NotePRO and Galaxy TabPRO devices that just hit the market.

Still, the Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, and Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 are pretty much official. Now all that’s left for Samsung to do is finally give them the announcement they deserve. Previously leaked specs said all three would be coming with 1,280×800 resolution and a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor. The smaller two should get 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of storage, while the 10.1-inch version will have 1.5 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage. All will come with a microSD card slot, and all will be offered in multiple versions (Wi-Fi-only, 3G, and 4G LTE capable.

Typically, we could expect theses new  Galaxy Tab 4 family to come in more affordable price points.
