The most anticipated Apple iWatch is headed for a Q3 2014 release, with several Asian manufacturers entering the supply chain. The smartwatch manufacturing was initially rumored to have exclusive production rights of the wearable to LG, replaced by longtime Apple rival Samsung. The crosstown Korean manufacturer will be handling processor and outsource actual production. China’s Economic Daily News reports that Taiwanese-based companies Quanta Computer, TPK, and Richtek will be performing various parts of the manufacture and assembly.
