HP 8 is the latest 8-inch Android tablet for $170

Image
HP 8 is the latest 8-inch tablet from HP announced for $170, as the company slowly building out its collection of Android tablets. The HP 8 is a moderately priced slate with good looks, but somewhat underwhelming specs that fall shy of its $169.99 price tag. The good news is the screen measures 7.85-inches, getting close to that 8-inch sweet spot for small tablets. However, the resolution can’t match the iPad Mini Retina, or the LG G Pad 8.3. It struggles to match many 7-inch Kindle Fire tablets too, as it’s a lowly 1024 x 768 pixels. HP 8 8-inch Android tablet Physically, the HP 8 tablet is nicely sized and attractive. It measures 7.8 by 5.3 by 0.31 inches and weighs 0.69 pounds. I like the white and silver finish, which looks a little less generic than the company’s line of Slate tablets. In addition to an almost 8-inch display with 1024 x 768 resolution, the HP 8 offers a quad-core Allwinner processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, 25GB of free Box cloud storage, microSD support, 2...

HP Slate 6 Voice Tab pop up in GFX benchmarks

Image
According to latest data shows up in Bluetooth SIG listing and GFX bench marking. HP is currently testing a new Phablet: the HP Slate 6 Voice Tab. Deemed a “voice tablet”, and with a screen measuring 6 inches, it’s safe to assume that HP is trying to get into the gigantic smartphone game. HP reportedly working to distribute two tablets, 7 and 6 inches respectively, in developing markets for under $250 each. If HP does indeed sell a 6-inch Android phablet for under $250 SIM-free, it could certainly perk up some ears in the smartphone world. If this rumor turns out to be true, then it would seem that HP is officially trying to become a big player in the low cost tablet game. The company released the Slate 7 Plus Extreme and Slate 7 plus last year for $199 and $149, respectively. The Slate 6 Voice Tab’s name also appeared on GFXBench’s site. It’s listed as having a quad-core 1GHz Marvell processor, a 1280 x 720 display, and with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean out of the box. [ source 1 , 2,   ...

HP Strongly denied Windows phone 8 debut

Image
HP Strongly denied Windows phone 8 debut : A few days ago, we had seen on the Hewlett-Packard Company may return to the smartphone market, and with Microsoft to launch Windows Phone Smartphone news. However, HP's PR department today from the statements made, things seem to be far from simple imagination. Maybe the rumors are not true before, but HP has a very strong and clear attitude denies launch Windows Phone smart phone rumors, it looks very interesting. Generally speaking, most companies encounter rumors about himself, would choose an eye, close one eye attitude choose to ignore, because if rumors are no more basis in fact users will gradually fade out of sight slowly. Generally speaking, to say nothing of the effect actually played a lot better than vehemently denied, if a company is very concerned about a rumor, generally speaking this rumor becomes not so far-fetched it. For example, we often see in the report "a certain company refused to express their views on a r...

Image
Web OS Based HP TouchPad Will be Blessed with CM 10.1 (Android 4.2) Very soon : The HP TouchPad is the discontinued tablet which was originally shipped with the webOS operating system, and Custom ROM moders  have been installing Android on it from beginning of times, but till now there is no open source version of Android that couldn’t run on the TouchPad. But recently Team codefireX developer Patrick Campanele is working to port the latest version of Android to the HP TouchPad: He’s posted a video showing the tablet running Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean. The software is a version of the CyanogenMod 10.1 custom ROM which has been compiled to support the HP tablet’s hardware. At this point WiFi works, but sound does not. The user interface is slow, and the system is a bit too slow to be useful — it literally takes about 10 seconds for the automatic screen rotation to work. But now that CM10.1 can boot on the tablet, Campanele and others will be able to improve the experience b...
