Thousands of Twitter User accounts has been hacked
According to verge's recent en-query  a wast amount of twitter account users where forced to change twitter password and their account password was already reset and mailed to respective e-mails, indicating that twitter is exposed to hackers and several accounts has been hijacked.

Twitter has indeed sent an email to some users citing "a compromised account by a third-party service or website not affiliated with Twitter." Twitter has not commented on the matter for the moment, but should not take long to respond.

In short, a fault more for Twitter, perhaps victim of great popularity.
