Sony announces new slimmer and lighter PlayStation 3, with 250GB,500GB for $269,$299 respectively
Today Sony has announced another redesign Playstation 3 model which is 20% smaller and 25% lighter than the previous model. but there isn't much change to console hardware expect now it have a 250GB and 500GB variants, which will cost selling for $269.99 and $299.99 respectively.
The two models are packed with some extra bundled games which the 250GB model comes with ‘UNCHARTED 3: Drake’s Deception: Game of the Year Edition’ and a voucher for more than $30 worth of bonus digital content for ‘DUST 514′ and will be available starting September 25.
The 500GB model, comes with free 30-Day PlayStation Plus voucher and a copy of ‘Assassin’s Creed III’ and will release simultaneously with the game on October 30. The game will feature four exclusive levels available only on the PlayStation 3.
And there is classic white model arrives on November 22 (at least in Japan--as we are Tokyo Japan Game show). with a storage space of 500GB, but significantly there is no visible Disc Slot on the console's front in this model rather than the PS3 Black versions, so we guess there might be another sliding tray mechanism of for this device. The PS3 White model might be available from October 30th bundled with the Assassin's Creed III release game. but still no word on pricing just yet.
