Apple's iPhone 5 spots Sony's 8MP Primary Sensors

After the official Tear Down of the Apple's iPhone 5, we have been treated with Apple A6 memory details, and now the Chipworks blog has gone deep into the Apple's new 8MP rear sensor and unveiled the fact that it has been made by Sony.

The Chipworks keen eyes has spotted an Sony branding on the iPhone 5 image sensor, without any more model number reveling, as we already know the  iPhone 4S image sensor ( 8MP also) is also Sony sensor code named IMX145. but still the sensor aren't the same as the sample images provided by apple has a  different base ISO than the iPhone 4S (ISO50 vs. ISO64).

The story of front camera is different as its not from Sony, however it is manufactured by OmniVision according to Chipworks, who did all this analyzing under the microscope. and yet it revels the Sony Sensors are the best when comes to Mobile camera, til now.
