LG Optimus G Android 4.4.2 update this summer

The LG Optimus G was launched bacl in the December 2012 with the Android 4.0.3 version and then updated once to Android 4.1.2 in March, 2013. after that the product has been abandoned by LG.

While, it's Nexus 4 brother was getting regular updates from Google, Optimus G was still not, now thing's getting a little bit better as there are rumors suggest that the Optimus G indeed will get an Android Kitkat 4.4.2 update after all.

LG Optimus G Android 4.4.2 update

According to French carrier, SFR, LG will issue an update for the Optimus G this summer, bumping it three versions, from Android 4.1.2 to 4.4.2. This is unprecedented in the Android community, and will hopefully save the device from premature obsolescence.

We’ve reached out to LG Canada to see if this will come to Canada, but we’re not holding out hope. If you’re using an Optimus G, how is the phone faring 16 months later?

Samsung GALAXY S5 will have plastic and metal versions

According to Samsung Galaxy S5 manufacturing plans, Samsung Galaxy S5 in the future there will be two versions.
