HTC One Knock off Goophone one reveled

Image
After the most famous GooPhone I5-iPhone 5 clone, the company has done the magic once again with the latest HTC One Cloned phone - GooPhone clone. Meet the GooPhone One, an exact replica (we think) of the still unreleased HTC One, previously known as the M7. Of course, with the HTC One unveiling event has taken place, we highly doubt GooPhone’s clone will go up for sale before its “twin”. And still we’re amazed at how quickly they got things done. Just look at those two pics and ignore the fugly UI and the GooPhone imprint for a moment. The GooPhone One will come packing a quad-core Mediatek MT6589 and 1 GB of RAM, 4.7-inch display will probably not boast a Full HD resolution either, but the rear-facing camera is said to be equipped with a 13 MP sensor. As far as software goes, Android Jelly Bean should butter up the package, but instead of the sleek-looking Sense 5 UI, you’ll get the Lewa OS on top (whatever the heck that is). Now let’s just hope GooPhone won’t be lookin

Ubuntu Phone Experience : Ubuntu UI App for Android

Image
Do you remmeber the awsome Ubuntu Phone OS debut earlier ? well, it's not going to be official soon. but still if you want make your phone touch-based user interface into upcoming ubuntu Mobile OS, then you might be able to. you can download and install an app called Ubuntu Phone Experience on virtually any Android phone today. Ubuntu Phone Experience lets you create a list of apps to bring up in the sidebar, adjust the opacity of the bar, and tweak the sensitivity so you don’t accidentally open the sidebar when you’re trying to do something else with your phone. Right now you’ll have to enable support for apps from unknown sources to install Ubuntu Phone Experience on an Android 1.6 or later phone — it was available from the Play Store briefly, but it’s been removed (probably because the Ubuntu name is trademarked). Until the app has a new name, you can still download the app from a link at the xda-developers forum, provided by developer fmaster1. [ Download Ubuntu

Nexus 4 Android 4.2.2 update kills its unofficial 4G LTE

Image
As the LG's Optimus G was taken as Google's Next Nexus 4 flagship phone, many of  Google fan's expected an LTE variant. but when Google debut the Nexus 4 it doesn't have an onboard support for LTE. But since some users across US has found out that the Phone Does support LTE, even Google Doesn't claim.  you could even use a software trick to connect to some LTE networks (including Rogers and Telus in Canada). this week Google released a software update for the Nexus 4 that AnandTech reports removes that unofficial feature. The good news is that the Android 4.2.2 update does add features as well, including the ability to quickly toggle WiFi and Bluetooth from the quick settings panel, and Bluetooth audio fixes. But if you’re wondering why Google would bother updating the baseband and firmware on the Nexus 4 to remove a feature, it’s because the phone was never meant to be used with 4G LTE mobile broadband anyway. The only reason there’s an LTE chip under

Archos Video Player app now available free

Image
When initially Archos launched its own Video Player app in Google play, it was a bit expensive ($4.99 ). Now there’s a free version of the Archos Video Player which you can try before deciding whether to spend your money. You can download Archos Video Player Free from the Play Store. It does pretty much everything the paid version does, but includes ads on the home and pause screens. the Archos video app has a  attractive user interface for managing and playing movies and TV shows on your device. Archos Video Player can download subtitles, movie posters, and other information from the internet, and organize TV shows in by season and episode. The app also supports streaming videos from a shared folder on your home network using SMB or from a UPnP media server. While the app was originally designed for portable devices, the user interface reminds me of a home theater PC UI, so if you plug your device into a TV (or use an Android TV stick rather than a phone or tablet), the

Google planning to open Google Retailer Stores outlets ?

Image
According to the latest reports from 9To5Google, google is currently planning to open retailer stores across US for the promotional purpose of the upcoming Google Glasses and new Chromebook line up. While Google is started as a search engine and now one of the leading Android OEM manufactures and increasingly popular Chrome OS developers. Google has also released Nexus series smartphones and tablets running Android OEM. so theoretically benefit from a bricks and mortar showroom where potential customers could try before they buy. Right now you can check out Chromebooks at select retail locations such as Best Buy in the US or D ixon’s in the UK , but few stores carry Nexus phones and tablets. It’s also possible a Google Store could feature other devices running Android such as phones and tablets from companies such as Acer, Asus, Lenovo, Samsung, and Toshiba. As 9to5Google points out, Google also sells clothing, toys, and other products which might do well in stores. But cle

iFixit Tear Down the Microsoft Surface Pro : Do Not Try at Home

Image
For iFixit, they can't even think about an day without some crazy gadget teardown, and today is the Microsoft's latest Surface Pro's day. Surface Pro is basically what you get if you take an ultrabookin a 10.6 inch tablet case, add an active digitizer and stylus, and call it a day. It’s a computer in a sleek, compact package which offers decent performance and less battery life. The iFixit teardown revealed that the tablet has a RealSSD C400 solid state drive with read speeds of 500MB/s and write speeds up to 95 MB/s. Microsoft’s design includes an awful lot of adhesive, which means that in order to rip open the device you need to use a heat gun to melt the sticky stuff before prying off the screen — and this could damage the tablet if done improperly. Inside the case there are about 90 screws holding various components in place. If you’re trying to repair a specific component you probably won’t need to remove every screw, but depending on what you’re looking f

Web OS Based HP TouchPad Will be Blessed with CM 10.1 (Android 4.2) Very soon

Image
Web OS Based HP TouchPad Will be Blessed with CM 10.1 (Android 4.2) Very soon : The HP TouchPad is the discontinued tablet which was originally shipped with the webOS operating system, and Custom ROM moders  have been installing Android on it from beginning of times, but till now there is no open source version of Android that couldn’t run on the TouchPad. But recently Team codefireX developer Patrick Campanele is working to port the latest version of Android to the HP TouchPad: He’s posted a video showing the tablet running Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean. The software is a version of the CyanogenMod 10.1 custom ROM which has been compiled to support the HP tablet’s hardware. At this point WiFi works, but sound does not. The user interface is slow, and the system is a bit too slow to be useful — it literally takes about 10 seconds for the automatic screen rotation to work. But now that CM10.1 can boot on the tablet, Campanele and others will be able to improve the experience befor

Asus MeMO Pad 10 Smart tablet Appears Online for $360

Image
Asus MeMO Pad 10 Smart tablet Appears Online for $360 : Asus's 10 inch budget tablet Memo Pad is  official coming out party. The Asus MeMO Pad Smart is the tablet we’ve been calling the ME301T for the past month or so, and it’s expected to go on sale soon for $299. The tablet is basically a low cost alternative to the latest Asus Transformer Pad tablets… with similar specs, but an entirely different optional keyboard accessory. Asus will offer a Folio Key accessory for the MeMO Pad Smart instead. It’s a screen cover that you can place over the display for protection, or which you can detach and use as a Bluetooth keyboard ( like the Type Cover for the Microsoft Surface line of tablet ). It has a built-in stand that lets you prop up the tablet while you’re typing, or if you just want to stand up the MeMO Pad to watch a video or read a recipe. The MeMO Pad Smart features a 10.1 inch, 1280 x 800 pixel IPS display, a 1.2 GHz NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM,

Surface Pro Will Support Linux, here's the Proof

Image
Surface Pro Will Support Linux, here's the Proof : Microsoft’s Surface Pro is a tablet designed for the Windows 8 operating system. But that doesn’t mean Windows 8 is the only software the tablet can run. Geek.com’s Russell Holly  picked up one of Microsoft’s new tablets recently, and he’s been hard at work convincing the Surface Pro to run various Linux-based operating systems. and  it looks like it’s actually pretty easy to boot Linux Mint or Ubuntu on the tablet, but not all of the hardware is supported out of the box. Russell  is working on enabling WiFi support, but in a pinch you can always get online by using an Ethernet-to-USB adapter (since the Surface Pro doesn’t have an Ethernet port. In other words, you might not want to drop $899 or more on a Surface Pro with the hopes of bringing it home and booting up Linux just yet — but if you’re a hacker/tinkerer interested in tweaking the tablet to make sure that touch, WiFi, and other features work, you may be able to

Android Emulator in BB10 is Getting Way more Better

Image
Android Emulator in BB10 is Getting Way more Better : It was in 2011, BlackBerry introduced the killer feature: an Android emulator. It was called the App Player and the reason it wasn’t hugely popular is that it only ran a limited selection of features and only supported Android 2.3 apps. Now, though, BlackBerry has seen the error of its ways, and issued a pledge to improve the App Player with the help of Android 4.1. Crackberry reports this morning that BlackBerry has promised to update the App Player’s runtime to support Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, opening up a new world of apps to the BlackBerry 10 ecosystem. App Player apps are currently sandboxed from using certain features like the cellular radio, etc, so we’ll have to see if those restrictions carry over into the new Jelly Bean-ed App Player.
