How to Jailbreak iOS 7.0.6 Untethered for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch

Apple has pushed latest iOS 7.0.6 update fixing SSL connection verification, preventing an attacker with a privileged network position from capturing or modifying data in sessions protected by SSL/TLS.

Now, evad3rs have rolled out the most eagerly awaited evasi0n7 1.0.6 jailbreak with support for iOS 7.0.6 uunlike the modified version of evasi0n7 tool, the official version does not require the use of Hex editing tool and hence makes the jailbreaking process less complicated.

It has been ascertained that there is a major security flaw in iOS 7, which allows hackers to perform "man-in-the-middle" attack. This vulnerability was uncovered in unsecure Wi-Fi public networks, which has now been patched in the latest update that also addresses SSL connection verification issue.

Veteran iOS jailbreak developers and pod2g of the evad3rs Dream Team have strictly advised iOS 7 users to quickly update to the latest firmware build iOS 7.0.6, to prevent security compromise (theft of usernames, passwords and credit card information) on their iOS devices while using unsecure Wi-Fi networks.
Pod2g: "I just can't believe this bug happened! For god sake, they don't have regression tests for TLS? :/"

  • Update iTunes to the latest version (download here)

  • Back up important data and settings on your iDevice via iTunes Backup and Restore feature.

  • Jailbreaking your iOS device may void its hardware warranty. So, proceed with caution and at your own risk.
