Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2 leaks with specifications

After the announcement of recent Samsung galaxy grand 2, samsung is preparing to announce another entry level flagship phone- the Samsung galaxy s duos 2 (S7582), the successor to the Galaxy S Duos from last year. Like its predecessor, its main feature will be dual-SIM support, which means its launch may be confined to emerging markets like such devices usually are.

The Galaxy S Duos 2 leaked in all its glory in Hungary today. It will come with a 4-inch 480×800 touchscreen, a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, 768 MB of RAM, 4 GB of internal storage space, a microSD card slot, a 5 MP rear camera, and a 1,500 mAh battery. It will run Android 4.2 Jelly Bean disappointingly. Interestingly, one of the software features that Samsung touts in its marketing materials is Multi Window support (as seen on some of Samsung’s higher-end devices), but on a 4-inch screen that certainly seems like nothing more than a marketing gimmick. As is saying that the phone comes with “6 Gb” of RAM (bits, not bytes – so 768 MB after all).

It’s unclear when exactly we should expect this in stores, but now that so many details have leaked it can’t be long. The Galaxy S Duos 2 isn’t much of an improvement compared to the original, with only the processor being bumped up from a single-core 1 GHz part, and the  Jelly Bean Android version includes several extra features.
