HTC One Golden Edition goes on sale

The golden edition HTC one has gone sales officially, which isn't the 24-carat Gold Genie version, This is a gold-colored aluminum HTC One, which we've already seen leaked in images.

The HTC One to go alongside the silver, black, red and blue versions. As a mainstream color option, this version isn't plated with the precious metal — rather the aluminum chassis has been treated with a "champagne" color, similar to the "gold" iPhone 5s. Underneath the newly colored is just a champagne-colored HTC One with a 1080p 4.7" screen, quad-core Snapdragon 600 and 4 MP camera with Ultrapixels and OIS.

The device will be released across Europe through a number of retailers and carrier but specific availability information should be coming later today.

Samsung GALAXY S5 will have plastic and metal versions
